Senegalese, Havana, and Kinky Twists
Two strand, licorice-like twists add delicacy to any style. Unlike box braids, twists are usually faster to install and remove; and they look absolutely regal when wrapped around the head or gathered into a bun. Even the type of hair used makes the style unique. Maybe that's why twists are so popular in the dog days of summer.

Gilded and Gunmetal Grace
Thanks to Dolce and Gabbana's Fall 2013 collection, I am now obsessed with sequins (again). In what I consider to be one of the best runway shows this century, they showcased a brilliant collection fueled by Catholicism and old-world beauty. They brought us gems like this:
